DDI Presents the Asia Talent Management Award at CNBC’s Asia Business Leader Awards
DDI presented the Asia Talent Management Award to Dr. Pailin Chuchottaworn, President and CEO of PTT, who was nominated for the Award in his role as President of IRPC PCL. The 10th Asia Business Leader Awards was held in Singapore on November 24, 2011. The Asia Talent Management Award recognizes the business leader who is committed to supporting, developing and retaining talent, as well as nurturing the next generation of leaders.
IRPC is a pioneer company, Southeast Asia’s first integrated petrochemical business. Dr. Pailin began his career in academic work; combining this background with his expertise in the petrochemical industry, he helped to develop leadership talent in Thailand’s third largest oil refinery company. Under his guidance, IRPC revamped its scholarship and formal education programs in 2009, ensuring that the organization has the necessary knowledge and skills to support its growth and future direction. It also helped to motivate and retain deserving, capable associates by providing them opportunities to develop and grow professionally. Dr. Pailin believes that everyone has the potential to grow and perform at high levels, and he initiates the systems that encourage them to do so and is personally involved in identifying and mentoring key leadership talent.

Lifetime Achievement Award – N.R. Narayana Murthy, Chairman Emeritus, Infosys whose vision and management abilities have helped steer his company successfully both regionally and in the global marketplace.
Asia’s Viewers’ Choice Award – Mr. Ganesh Avyar, CEO of MphasiS Ltd who received the most votes by CNBC’s viewers in Asia Pacific.
