SAN DIEGO, CA, March 15, 2006 – Monster® and Development Dimensions International (DDI) unveiled today at ER Expo 2006 Spring a unique suite of candidate assessment products that are seamlessly integrated with Monster job postings. Scheduled to be available to employers beginning in May 2006, the Monster Performance Assessment System is designed to expedite and enhance the applicant screening process by quickly identifying candidates with the greatest potential for success in a given position. This long-term, exclusive alliance brings together Monster, the leading global online careers property and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: MNST); and DDI, an expert in hiring and pioneer in the use of assessment methods in business.
The Monster Performance Assessment System is a large-scale and cost-effective means for employers throughout North America to measure applicants’ competencies and fit to the target job. The inaugural offering will be a predictive assessment tool that measures candidates’ competencies in a way no resume can. Employers can utilize DDI’s scientifically validated, industry-specific content to garner desired results – with just one click. It is ideal for job postings that solicit a significant number of applicants – such as sales, service and non-clinical healthcare positions – because it provides a cost-effective way for companies to quickly hone in on the most qualified candidates for the position.
By moving away from the traditional per-applicant-pricing model, Monster and DDI are reducing the cost barrier of such tools with a flat-rate model that will enable companies of all sizes to benefit from a streamlined recruitment process. In addition to saving time, the Monster Performance Assessment System is designed increase in the quality of their new hires, resulting in lower turnover and increased organizational performance.
“Monster and DDI are changing the recruiting game with this alliance,” said Neal Bruce, Vice President, Monster Alliances at Monster. “The ability to easily identify top-tier talent will become a key differentiator as the labor market tightens and the migration toward online recruitment continues. Our relationship with DDI exemplifies how the Monster HR Vendor Alliances program continues to establish world-class relationships with leading HR solution providers to increase customer value, results, and satisfaction.”
“Competitive organizations leverage every resource available. We have developed a solution that frees valuable hiring manager and scarce recruiter time so they can focus on identifying and hiring the most competent and motivated candidates for every job,” Scott Erker, Senior Vice President of DDI’s Selection Solutions, said. “The Monster Performance Assessment System helps managers be confident that their new hires will perform sooner, better, and longer than candidates who are not assessed, contributing to a better bottom line.”
Employers interested in using the Monster Performance Assessment System can select the optional predictive assessment tool with one click. Job seekers will continue to apply to a position as they always have. If a candidate’s application is in line with the employer’s specifications, the applicant will be automatically sent a predictive assessment questionnaire via email. Once completed, employers may view individual scores and answers to determine who are the best candidates.
