Peggy Schroeder is a results-oriented learning leader with over 15 years of experience in aligning human capital strategies with business outcomes. Currently, Peggy is Director of Leadership and Professional Development in the enterprise HR department of The Hartford Financial Services Co., Inc. In Peggy's current position, she is overseeing the design of a new strategic framework for leadership development across The Hartford. She has built and implemented several innovative 'learning journey' style programs to help The Hartford's 3000+ managers achieve the company's strategic priorities.
Peggy joined The Hartford in 2007 to lead the information technology function's talent agenda, learning strategy and budget, and strategic leadership offsites. In Peggy's next role, she built and implemented custom organizational development and learning solutions for the Commercial and Consumer Markets areas of The Hartford. She also provided project management oversight for these groups on strategic projects such as the employee engagement survey and rewards and recognition.
Prior to joining The Hartford, Peggy was the Learning Head for the National Accounts organization at Aetna, Inc., where she provided strategic learning and organizational development to all National Accounts functional areas. Peggy and her team designed and facilitated leadership development events to foster organizational change throughout the National Accounts organization.
Peggy holds BA and MBA degrees from Boston College.
