Louis started his stint in the HR field when he joined the SMI Group as HR and Administration Manager. Singled out by the top management as a talent, he was made the Production Manager of the Group’s subsidiary in China.
Upon returning to Taiwan, he joined ING Aetna as a Training Manager, where he developed the competency-based training system. He effectively leveraged on existing resources and produced results exceeding the desired competency-levels. Expanding his role to consulting, he collaborated with various departments in implementing competency profiling, performance management, 360-degree feedback assessment and competency-based selection process.
In 2003, he joined Development Dimensions International (DDI) as a Regional Consultant. With the consistently high quality in delivery and client satisfaction, he was swiftly promoted to Consulting Manager, and now, his current role as Managing Director of Greater China.
Current Responsibilities
As Managing Director of Greater China, he is responsible for managing and growing DDI’s operations in both cities, Shanghai and Taipei.
This responsibility requires him to:
- Provide consulting advice and services in the areas of performance management, selection and leadership development, and strategy alignment.

Key Capabilities and Experience
Early in his career, Louis was responsible for developing a set of tailored training program for managers undergoing major transition and job rotation locally and internationally in a prestigious Taiwanese company. He had to manage all aspects of the business, through design and implementation of critical Human Resources initiatives, developing a comprehensive training and development curriculum for all employees and senior management, and introducing a management trainee system.
He continued to establish his credibility during his tenure as a HR and Administration Manager in SIM Group. The top management handpicked him specifically to manage the Group’s subsidiary factory in China, as Production Manager, where he led a team of 800 operators. Valuing the vast knowledge and expertise of managers from different countries and backgrounds, he abolished the traditional system and built a strong, diversified management team. He further enhanced the organization’s communication channel and improved work efficiency through a systematic & comprehensive management system that focused on key aspects of increasing productivity, improving training, increasing safety, quality control and maintenance.
He joined ING Aetna as a Training Manager, where he spearheaded a competency-based training system. He successfully streamlined processes, training program, effectively leveraged on existing resources to exceed the desired competency-levels required by the organization.
After joining DDI, he expanded his role in depth into consulting, where he implemented and provided advice in specialized areas of competency profiling, performance management, 360-degree feedback assessment and competency-based selection process.
Being in the role of General Manager in DDI, Louis has consistently delivered high quality consulting results and achieved remarkable client satisfaction.
