Elmar Kronz

Vice President, DDI Europe

Elmar Kronz is Vice President Development Dimensions International (DDI) Europe.

Prior to taking this position he served as Vice President for DDI Asia, based in Shanghai, China, with overall responsibility for DDI’s operations in Greater China and South East Asia. He has previously held the positions of Managing Director DDI Germany and Southern Europe operations. Before the role of Managing Director, he worked as an Executive Consultant at DDI’s world headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.

He has extensive client experience across the entire range of DDI’s capabilities with a primary focus on talent management services and solutions, including executive assessment and leadership development, success profiling and selection strategies.

Mr. Kronz has provided consulting support for many domestic and multinational clients. The range of clients covers various industries, including banking/finance, retail, automotive, civil service, IT, pharmacology and manufacturing.

Mr. Kronz’ responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and working directly with key DDI clients.
  • Consulting with clients to identify needs and propose solutions, specifically in the areas of talent and succession management, development, and selection.
  • Leading the region’s business development strategy.
  • Overall accountability for DDI Europe’s clients’ satisfaction and the operation’s P&L.

  • Mr. Kronz is an excellent speaker. His speeches on talent management and trends in HR at conferences and events (such as at the Talent Development Conference (TDC) have won many accolades. He also presents frequently at conferences and industry events, including the International Congress on Assessment Center Methods.
  • His great insights have been quoted by many of the mainstream and professional media. He has published a number of articles in professional journals and in DDI publications.
  • Mr Kronz has won several awards, including the Doug Bray Award for Innovation and Excellence in the Application of Assessment Technology.

Career Highlights

  • Before joining DDI, Mr. Kronz worked with a German recruiting company, where he gained experience in the search and selection of executive personnel in various fields.

Education and Credentials

  • Master’s degree in industrial/organisational psychology and work science from Ruhr-University, Bochum.
