Managers who have taken a new job say that they are left confused by what their employers expect of them.

The Telegraph’s Jobs Editor Alan Tovey spoke to DDI’s Dr Evan Sinar and Dr Matt Paese about DDI’s study Leaders in Transition: Progressing Along a Precarious Path and focuses on the challenges for newly promoted managers.
“Leaders wrestled with the lack of guidance from their manager, vague job descriptions, and unclear expectations,” said Dr Sinar, adding that the pace of change caused by the economic recovery contributes to this confusion.
