Classroom learning joins the ranks of the technology-enabled with Development Dimensions International’s (DDI) introduction of its
virtual classroom development experience. To increase the convenience and lower the cost of training and development in a more global workplace where employees are often geographically separated and are unable to meet in one physical location, DDI is introducing its leadership development program
Interaction Management: Exceptional Leaders . . . Extraordinary Results® to learners through its approach to virtual learning.
For almost 40 years, DDI has been delivering quality leadership development content to organizations and leaders around the world, and will now provide that same award-winning development program to leaders through widely available web conferencing technology.
“We’ve developed an engaging program that simulates the classroom experience with skill practices, case studies and active discussion to meet the same learning objectives as the rest of our leadership development program,” Mark Phelps, Practice Leader and Manager, Employee Engagement, said. “This will transcend the passive experience most people have grown accustomed to whenever they attend a session delivered over typical web conferencing software.”
Specially selected and trained facilitators will use classroom techniques that have been carefully integrated into the program, including breakout rooms for skill practice and discussion groups, participant commenting and hand-raising, engaging video segments, polling, virtual flipcharts for brainstorming, plus other learning features.
DDI is offering eight of its most popular leadership development courses with the introduction of its virtual classrooms, including coaching for success and improvement, delegating, leading change, resolving conflict, consensus building plus core leadership skills.
