Café DDI offers a perfect blend of learning and fellowship. Your friendly DDI associates (or in these events, “baristas”) facilitate discussions on HR issues, trends and solutions in between games, sharing of success stories, and yes, cups of coffee. SGV-DDI conceptualized and launched Café DDI in 2002. It is a half-day event exclusively for DDI-certified facilitators in client organanizations. Café DDI is an informal venue to present program updates, provide learning sessions on a variety of HR topics, and build stronger business partnerships. It’s also a great way to network with DDI champions from different organizations.
Feedback from previous events has been positive. The participants particularly enjoyed experiencing new DDI programs, learning new frameworks and best practices, and networking with others. All who have attended said they want and will attend more Café DDI events in the future.
The café theme (complete with specialty coffee and barista aprons for DDI associates!) sets the mood for a relaxed afternoon for learning, networking, and having fun. Comments, questions, and freshly-brewed ideas may be forwarded to Nikki Dy-Liacco at ndyliacco@sgvddi.com.ph

The summer sunshine brought fun and learning to Café DDI: Change Management. The event featured highlights from our courses Adapting to Change and Leading Change and pointers on how to manage change both personally and in their role as a leader. This quarter’s Café DDI also featured the dimensions of a Change Strategist.
One of the dimensions is Applying a Theoretical Framework—and we did just that in an engaging group exercise. Participants were given a fictional case to analyze and propose change initiatives on, using any of the six frameworks discussed (including our Framework for Selection Success, Talent Optimization and Success Architecture frameworks).
Café DDI allowed our clients’ DDI-certified facilitators to get an overview and experience our three change management solutions in an afternoon.
It was a celebration of Leadership, Love and Valentine's Day at Café DDI last February with a presentation on the highlights of the global Leadership Forecast 2005-2006, the Leadership Blueprint, and the challenges of transitioning into leadership roles.
It was a fiesta-themed event (complete with banderitas and halo-halo) in May as Café DDI featured retention factors and workforce development programs with a presentation of the IM:EX course Retaining Talent: Creating the Environment and hands-on learning of several Techniques for a High-Performing Workforce courses.
Café DDI in August focused on developing extraordinary facilitators with hot new topics from the latest Facilitation Skills workshop, including Adult Learning facts, DDI's learning objectives and methods, a review on Dimensions for Certification, and facilitators' reality and responsibilities.
It was a unique Christmas celebration at Cafe DDI as new and seasoned facilitators came together to learn about DDI's Success Profiles. Going beyond Competencies and embracing the Knowledge, Experience and Personal Attributes required for success is essential, especially for leaders to be globally competitive. (We even had our own global leaders at the event - two facilitators who came as Mother Teresa!)
