Talent Management in Motion: Keeping Up with an Evolving Workforce

Talent In MotionDDI and the Human Capital Institute surveyed 769 North American HR executives, directors, and managers on three topic areas:

  1. the workforce of the future.
  2. globalization.
  3. the leadership attributes required to be successful in organizations operating globally.

The findings of this survey, which were supported through one-on-one interviews with a sample of respondents, are captured in the study, Talent Management in Motion.

Among the study findings:

  • Organizational restructuring is the top factor (74%) expected to increase over the next three years. Investment in employee training and development (72%) is also expected to increase somewhat or significantly.
  • The top factors expected to drive workers to excel at their jobs include: challenging work (89%), opportunities for training and development (83%) and constant learning opportunities (78%). 
  • 91% of respondents believe that competition for talent with global skills will become fiercer over the next three years.
  • Nearly two-thirds of HR leaders believe the U.S. will lose ground as a dominant player in world markets.
