Download Information

The downloadable content is available in a number of formats:

  • Word ".doc" files are suitable for use with Microsoft Word 97 and Word 2000. These can be easily modified, saved and/or printed in whole or in part, etc.
  • PowerPoint ".ppt" files are suitable for use with Microsoft PowerPoint 97 and PowerPoint 2000. These can be easily modified, saved and/or printed in whole or in part, etc.
  • Adobe Acrobat ".pdf" files display and print superbly, but cannot be easily modified.
Note: If you are unable to view the Adobe Acrobat ".pdf" files on your computer, you probably need to download the Acrobat Reader.
[Click here to use Adobe Acrobat to view PDF downloads]
Because the ".doc" files were created in Microsoft Word 97, DDI does not support or offer these materials for use with any other versions of Microsoft Word other than Word 97 and Word 2000, nor can DDI support their use with any other word processing software.

  • The best way to download WORD(.doc) and PowerPoint(.ppt) files is to save them directly to your computer and then open them. You can do this directly from your browser by following these easy steps.
    1. The first step to download a file, without opening it directly into your browser, is to right click on the linked text.
    2. A drop-down menu will appear with additional options.
Select the option which allows you to save the document associated with that link:
      (MSIE) select "Save Target As.."
      (Netscape) select "Save Link As.."
    3. Choose a folder location on your computer and save the file.
    4. After saving the files, go to the folder with the file and open the file.

  • Download times will vary depending on several variables such as your connection speed, traffic on your network and the public Internet, time of day, etc. In general, the files made available here will take just a couple minutes to download if you have a high-speed connection, but may take 10 minutes or more if you are using a slower connection such as a modem with a phone line.

  • If you have difficulty downloading the files, please wait for an hour or so and try again. If you still have problems, please contact your internal technical support department because you are most likely experiencing e-mail or firewall issues at your end. Once you have exhausted internal resources, feel free to contact DDI's Technical Support Department for assistance by sending an email to techsupport@ddiworld.com. Please describe the nature of your problem in detail and suggest how you would prefer us to contact you.
