Andrea Ebbitt

Cooper Standard

Andrea Ebbitt serves as vice president, talent strategy & development for Cooper Standard, where she is responsible for Human Capital Management strategies, processes, tools and training.

In this role, she has focused on the development of a global talent acquisition strategy and implementation of a common onboarding program; launched Cooper Standard University with an early emphasis on Manufacturing, Engineering and Human Resources; and led the redesign of the Performance Management process.

Based in Novi, Mich., she reports to Larry Ott, senior vice president and chief human resources officer.

Previously, Andrea served as senior director, talent management for Cooper Standard. She joined the Company in 2015 serving as director U.S. human resources, where she led all regional human resource activities within the U.S.

Before joining Cooper Standard, Andrea served as executive vice president of global human resources for Dura Automotive, where she was responsible for all aspects of human resources across the global enterprise, representing approximately 12,500 employees in 40 manufacturing and engineering facilities in 15 countries.

From 1997 to 2013, Andrea served in a number of human resources positions of increasing responsibility at General Motors. Most recently, she served as human resource director, global manufacturing engineering. In this position, she partnered with leadership team members to develop strategies to promote organizational alignment and success.

From 1995 to 1997, she served as human resources manager international operations at Delphi.

Andrea started her career at Delco Moraine in 1986 as a manufacturing engineer before joining the human resources team in 1989. There, she held various positions of increasing responsibility.

Andrea earned a Bachelor of Science degree in control systems engineering from Boston University. She serves as Chairperson for The Cassie Hines Shoes Cancer Foundation. She has helped send 167 young adults diagnosed with cancer to cancer camps.
