Wesley Vestal

VP, Talent Development, KBR

Wesley Vestal is currently the VP, Talent Development for KBR, where he has global responsibility for developing the people that deliver KBR. Prior to joining KBR in 2015, Wesley worked for nine years with Baker Hughes, the world's third largest oilfield services company. He has held a number of roles in the U.S. and the Middle East, including HR Director, Talent Management Director, Change Management & Communication Manager, and Manager of Knowledge Management. He has led efforts in all aspects of talent management, talent acquisition, employee engagement, leadership development, various process improvement and knowledge transfer programs, and co-authored a patent related to the Baker Hughes Rig Count. 

Prior to joining Baker Hughes, Wesley spent eight years at the American Productivity & Quality Center, the last three in the role of Knowledge Management and Human Capital Practice Leader. He authored the books, "Communities of Practice and Associations" and "Knowledge Mapping: The Essentials for Success," and has written over a dozen chapters and articles on Knowledge Management, Leadership Development, and Communities of Practice for KM World, KM Review, APQC, and other publications. He began his career as a Fund Development Manager at the United Way of Greater Houston, supporting giving campaigns to help over 80 local non-profit agencies. 

Wesley is a native of Norman, Oklahoma and hold a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Trinity University in San Antonio. He volunteers for the United Way, spends time with his wife and three girls, and plays as much golf as allowed.
