DDI Receives Excellence in Professional Services Award from ACHIEVA
DDI recently received an Excellence in Professional Services award from ACHIEVA, a non-profit organization that provides lifelong support for people with disabilities. Building on a long-held belief that
better leaders lead to a better world, DDI offered ACHIEVA a series of training programs to develop a group of high potential leaders. Jim Kauffman, DDI Product Manager, Accelerated Development Solutions, and Rich Wellins, DDI SVP, delivered the programs.
ACHIEVA has built a strong organization that is rooted in its passion and dedication to families who come together for a common purpose: to ensure that their loved ones with disabilities have the same chances in life as everyone else. The program ACHIEVA included skills in translating strategy into results and making change happen. Over the long-term DDI will be offering ACHIVEA support in frontline leadership development and in fine-tuning their hiring processes.
According to Rich Wellins, “ACHIEVA touches the lives of hundreds of people with disabilities each and every day. If we improve the skills of their leaders, they, in turn, can engage and inspire their employees who are on the frontline of providing care.” Jim Kauffman adds, “The training seems to be taking hold as I have heard many positive comments from participants themselves.”
DDI’s contribution was provided for as part of DDI’s U-SPARK! initiative, a program that allows DDI employees and clients to obtain grants to use DDI award-winning programs with select non-profit and charitable organizations. Rich Wellins accepted the award on behalf of DDI at the 2016 ACHIEVA Awards of Excellence ceremony held on December 5. In announcing the award, the ACHIEVA awards’ committee wrote: “The training from DDI has been invaluable for the employees and the continued success of our organization.”
