Mark Busine

General Manager, Sydney

Mark Busine is the General Manager, NSW in the DDI Australia business based in Sydney.
 
Mark is responsible for managing the operations in Sydney, consulting with clients to determine appropriate human resource and talent management strategies, and managing the development and implementation of large-scale succession management programs. He is also involved in conducting research to support the effectiveness of DDI interventions. Mark also provides coaching and feedback to senior executives regarding their personal and developmental goals.
 
His area of experience and expertise includes designing, developing and evaluation the following talent systems: learning & development, executive assessment, succession management.

Mark has presented at numerous conferences and seminars on areas such as succession management, leadership development, selection, and employee feedback systems.

Career Highlights

  • Mark has extensive experience in organizational development and consulting in both an internal and external capacity.  He has significant HR and organization development experience across a range of different industries and locations.  
  • Mark has worked with DDI for nine years and recently returned from 2.5 years in Asia where he held the position of managing director, Southeast Asia. During this time Mark was responsible for managing all aspects of the operations across Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.  He was also a member of the DDI Asia executive team.  
  • Before his move to Asia, Mark worked in the DDI Australia business as general manager of consulting, general manager (Victoria and WA) and national marketing manager. 
  • Before joining DDI, Mark served in a range of HR and leadership roles across professional services and banking and finance. He also has lectured part-time at the University of Technology's Master of Education program. He also has lectured part-time at the University of Technology’s Master of Education program. 
  • Mark has worked with clients including ST Engineering, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Orica, National Australia Bank, SingTel Optus, and Toshiba.
