Vice President/Managing Director, DDI Philippines
Victor L. Magdaraog is Vice President with operational responsibility for the Philippine and Korean markets with oversight responsibility for our Indonesian affiliate Daya Dimensi Indonesia. From 1986-1996 he served as the Asia/Pacific Area Director for DDI based in Singapore. In this capacity, he oversaw the consulting, business development operations, and start-up accountability for the various DDI branch offices in the Asia/Pacific region, in addition to P&L accountability. Over the ten year period as Area Director, his assignment covered Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and other South Asia countries. Mr. Magdaraog has over 35 years working experience in various line and consulting positions in the human resource development and talent management covering recruitment, selection, training, human resource information system, compensation and benefits administration. He has held other line positions in finance, administration and information management.
In the mid seventies, he developed one of the first computer-based human resource information systems in the Philippines. In 1976, he introduced the assessment center technology in the Philippines which is now an entrenched methodology in evaluating candidates to senior level career positions in both the private and government sectors. In 1986, he introduced DDI’s assessment center methodology in other Asian countries. He has been involved in hundreds of assessment center implementations and the assessment centers he designed have assessed more than a thousand managers. He also introduced behavior modeling training methodology in the Philippines. He has also supervised management trainee programs designed to provide development experiences for employees identified as candidate for leadership roles. In the course of his work, he has been involved with projects in various industries such as insurance, transport, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, financial institutions, hospitality, telecommunication, information technology, including non-profit organizations. Currently, his consulting work focuses on helping senior management teams.
Education and Credentials
- Bachelor Degree with specialization in the behavioral sciences from the Ateneo de Naga University
- Certificate in Strategic Business Economics, a senior executive program from the University of Asia & the Pacific.
- He has served as faculty to certificate programs in a local university on Human Capital and Information Management, and E-Learning Design courses.
- Interaction Management and Targeted Selection
