Our CEO is in love with this program...we have taken down barriers and paradigms in the company and slowly we have been becoming a true one company, and that's one of the objectives we planned with these programs.
Lucy Chauvet, HR Director, Grupo Bimbo
Grupo Bimbo aims to be the world's biggest baking company, and the Mexico-based food retailer has done that with a number of big acquisitions. But accelerating global growth requires sophisticated senior leaders. To develop future executives with global acumen, Grupo Bimbo worked with DDI on a two-week, immersive experience built from the Business Impact Leadership® curriculum. The program includes classroom work, coaching, and working in teams to tackle business issues.
For nearly 15 years, hundreds of leaders participated, and many alums have been promoted or shifted to expat assignments.
"This program has helped us...align the kind of leadership we want to build and align it to our mission, vision, and values," says Chauvet. "Our CEO is in love with this program...we have taken down barriers and paradigms in the company and slowly we have been becoming a true one company, and that's one of the objectives we planned with these programs."
