Driving Inclusion Through Immersive VR Experience

While many leaders understand the business case for diversity and inclusion at an intellectual level, they often lack an emotional connection to the issue of inclusion, especially if they have traditionally been members of the ‘in-group.’ Known as an ‘empathy-generating machine,’ VR creates an immersive scenario that puts leaders in the shoes of someone who’s being marginalized and undervalued at work. The group discussion that follows allows participants to share their own experience and unpack learnings together in a safe environment.

Prepare for Tough Conversations in a Safe Virtual Environment

Few leaders feel truly prepared for the difficult conversations they need to have with their direct reports. With DDI’s VR coaching skill practice experience, leaders can try out their new coaching skills in a realistic scenario in a safe virtual environment where they can feel comfortable making mistakes as they learn. The learner will train with an interactive character and receive instant feedback on their performance. Best of all, the experiences are repeatable so a learner can continue to practice again and again to refine their skills, including to refresh their skills right before a big conversation.
